Julie Reynolds Therapy
Hello, my name is Julie (she/her) and I am a person-centred psychotherapist and counsellor.
My Approach to Therapy:
My approach is person-centred, which means that I will treat you with care and respect, honouring your capacity to move forward in ways which are right for you.
I believe - and have seen time and time again - that when a person feels seen, heard, accepted and never judged, they will become empowered to discover and use their own resources. To have someone who is willing to really be with you, who wants to understand as closely as possible your experience in the world, is so powerful. It will allow you to grow and develop in a mature and healthy way, becoming more authentically who you are in the process.
From a place of deep care, I will work with you to connect with your own personal power so that you are able to take ownership of experiences, narrow the gap between the ideal self and actual self, become more authentic in relationship to yourself and others, develop positive self regard, feel less vulnerable to threat and anxiety, and become more open to new experiences.
What You Can Expect:
It is important that you find a therapist who you feel is right for you and for this reason I offer a free 15 minute telephone call so you can ask any questions, get a sense of who I am and how I work, and so we can both get an idea of how I may be able to help you.
My practice is based in a peaceful and private room in South Liverpool. I also offer appointments on Zoom if you prefer online therapy.
My fee for a 60 minute session is £65. I do have some reduced-fee appointments available each month, so if this is something that you have need of, please do mention it when you get in touch.
If you have any questions at all, please do get in touch; you can email me here:

From My Clients:
These are some of the things clients have said about me - unprompted - and I have their full permission to publish them here.
"I could not praise Julie enough, she has a kind and supportive approach that really enables you to connect with your own thoughts and feelings. It feels great to talk things through, and with Julie you are given the space to think, reflect. This is something I would rarely take the time to do before but the experience working with Julie has really taught me to value this time." DS
"Having suffered and struggled with an eating disorder for over 15 years, I can honestly say working with Julie has really changed my life. She has played a truly integral role in my journey towards recovery. Prior to meeting Julie, I had worked with various different therapists throughout the years to help me navigate my way through this relentless and difficult Illness. When I started working with Julie however, I realised I had merely scratched the surface. From our very first consultation, I felt welcomed and safe. I instantly warmed to Julie. Her approach is always open, honest, gentle and compassionate, while simultaneously, she intuitively knows when to push you, to help you move forward, and grow. She helped me to look hard at my belief systems, and to deconstruct all of those self-imposed barriers I had created. This has been life changing. In the relatively short time that I have known and worked with Julie, I have made incredible progress. Not only has this helped me directly, it has also had a positive impact on my relationship, my family relationships, my friendships, and my career. I finally feel like I am living my life. I can whole-heartedly say that before meeting Julie, I never thought I would feel true peace. Julie has helped empower me, to keep working towards this inner peace, which no longer feels out of reach." SG
"I want to thank you for your empathetic approach which has helped me to self-reflect and process all the emotions & thoughts that piled up through the years. Within a short period of time I was able to become more conscious of my own feelings and needs, and also make some fundemental decisions." KZ
